Timing Tags
These add a pause tags introduce pauses in speech of the length specified in the tag name i.e. durations corresponding to their respective tag names, such as half a second, one second, etc. These should be placed at the beginning of a sentence, rather than the end, to avoid clipping of speechand so forth.
Tag | Description |
#PauseHalf | Pause half a second |
#PauseOne | Pause one second |
#PauseOneandHalf | Pause one and a half seconds |
#PauseTwo | Pause two seconds |
For exampleThis tag can be positioned at the start of a sentence to defer its commencement. Please note that incorporating a pause at the beginning of a sentence will induce anticipatory movements, where the lips initiate movement during the pause phase in preparation for speech. For instance:Hello. Very nice to meet you. #PauseOne What's your name? #PauseTwo. That's a lovely name.
If you do not wish to have this anticipatory movement, you can enclose the Pause Tag within an empty sentence. For instance:Hello. Very nice to meet you. #PauseOne. What's your name?
